Hello! My name is Laureen Witt. I teach third grade. Over the past 34
years of teaching at Mary of Lourdes, I have been blessed to journey with
very dedicated and faith-filled coworkers and families. At MOL it is a joy to
share my faith and guide the students to learn about our world. As the
children grow in their skills, their confidence and creativity blossom!
My husband, Ron, and I are members of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. We
are blessed to have seen the effect that our school has had on our children
as they attended Mary of Lourdes and moved on to adulthood. We are
very grateful for this blessing in our lives.
Hello! This is my second year teaching at Mary of Lourdes Elementary. I am an alumna of Mary of Lourdes Schools and I am teaching third grade this year. I have many fond memories of attending these schools. When I was a student, one of my most fondest memories was attending the weekly mass and participating. As a teacher, I love being able to work with the students as well as watch them grow over the course of the year. When I am not in school, I enjoy reading, fishing, gardening, and being with family.
Curriculum
Religion:
-Mass preparation, Bible reading, saints, prayers, feasts, seasons, Religion book.
Art:
-Creating projects with a variety of mediums.
Language Arts:
-Literature, composition, grammar, spelling, cursive handwriting, computer skills.
Math:
-Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, graphs, probability, measurement, geometry, fractions.
Science:
-Butterfly unit, life cycles, living things, planets and space, heat, light, and sound, simple machines .
Social Studies:
-Communities, citizenship, government, economics, landforms and water bodies, history, current events, Scholastic News.
