Mrs. Joni Primus
Hi! My name is Joni Primus. I’ve been teaching in Catholic schools for 35 years. I love teaching first grade. I like to see the children become independent learners. I love seeing the light in their eyes when they learn something new. I enjoy seeing the progress the students make in language arts; they start off with letter sounds and decoding small words and leave first grade able to read chapter books. I am glad that I am able to teach the whole child, working on the spiritual as well as academics. I teach religion, language arts, math, handwriting, and art. I teach science classes for both first grade classes while my colleague teaches social studies. We have specialist for music, phy-ed, library, and computer classes.
Mrs. Valerie Kula
My name is Valerie Kula. I have been a teacher since 1993. I have been in Catholic education since 1994, and began teaching right here at Mary of Lourdes School in 1999. My husband, Tony, teaches math at the Little Falls Community High School. We have four children all of whom were educated at Mary of Lourdes. We feel blessed for the good academic foundation our children received at Mary of Lourdes and feel that an even greater blessing was the formation in faith they received. Mary of Lourdes School is a wonderful community of which to be a member.
