December More Christmas Fun

Mon. Dec. 15 and Tues. Dec. 16

We'll be making a wreath snack today with Chef Combo. We will be using a bagel and cream cheese...yummy!

We will finish up that secret project we started last week, and wrapping it up too.

Wed. Dec. 17

We will have a little fun with worksheet that challenges us to find the misplaced, mixed up things in a Christmas picture.

We continue to practice our songs which we will be singing for you at the program next week.

Thurs. Dec. 18 and Fri. Dec. 19

We will play a game using a dice and decorations to help decorate a Christmas tree. We work on number recognition, counting and taking turns.

Outside today if the weather cooperates.

Mon. Dec. 22 and Tues. Dec. 23

What an exciting day this will be. When the children arrive, we will have our party, with Bingo and gifts to open. Then we'll open the doors and welcome you for our program. The sweet voices of the children are sure to warm your heart. Snacks will follow. MMMMMM

December

Tues. Dec. 2 and Wed. Dec. 3

We will make an Advent wreath which will help us count the time until we celebrate the birthday of Jesus.

We're making new placemats to be used during snack time each day. The children will decorate them with their names and various Christmas pictures.

We will be learning a few new songs today as we begin to prepare for our Christmas program later this month.

Thurs. Dec. 4 and Fri. Dec. 5

Each child will decorate a green triangle which will all be put together in the shape of a Christmas tree. Watch for it in the hallway.

Every day this month, I plan to read 2 books to the children at Storytime. One will be about the birth of Baby Jesus, the other could be about Santa, reindeer or any other Christmas topic. today we read Snowbear's Christmas Countdown.

Mon. Dec. 8 and Tues. Dec. 9

We will paint a toilet paper roll and decorate it to look like a candle, which we will use during our Christmas program. We will also be making a Nativity scene.

Some of the words we will learn in sign language are: reindeer, Christmas, wait, cookie, milk, Baby Jesus.

Wed. Dec. 10

The children will be doing some sewing today. Each will pick a Christmas card and sew around it using the holes I have punched around the edges. These will all be displayed as a 'quilt' on our closet doors.

Our stories today include 'If You Take a Mouse to the Movies". and we will continue to practice our songs.

Thurs. Dec. 11 and Fri. Dec. 12

Sorry, but I can't tell you much about today because we will be working on a special gift for you.

I can tell you that we will go outside if the weather is nice enough.
