Home and School Minutes

March 15, 2007

Call to order: President Mary Bednarek lead with prayer and conducted the meeting.

Introductions

Approval of Agenda- Motion to approve by LuAnn Jarvis, Judi Ficek second.

Secretary’s Report- Read and Motion to approve by Judi Ficek, Debbie Witucki second.

Treasurer’s Report- Read and Motion to approve by Judi Ficek, Sharon Bauer second.

Correspondence –Thank you from Kate, Charlie and Bailey Peterka for the donation to the Animal Shelter in Donna’s name. Thank you from Brian Hurd and Melissa Holey for the Pocket Box given to the Knowledge Bowl, as well as for use in the classroom. Thank you from Mrs. Primus and grade one for the SCRIP Marathon reward which allowed them to purchase a small refrigerator for the classroom.

Old Business

Breakfast- Took place in March, no report available.

Spring dinner and Raffle – Friday, April 13, 2007

Catholic Aid will match with a grant up to $1,000.00. Discussion regarding how the profits will be divided between the Technology fund and the Playground fund. Judi Ficek made a motion, Michelle Fenske second to designate 80% to the Technology fund and 20% to the Playground fund. Judi Ficek showed samples of the decorations that students will make for the dinner. Tickets are available for the raffle.

Staff Lunch - March 14. It went very well, and the staff reported that the food was great.

Anniversaries – Home and School received a list of staff and their dates of hire to determined who will have 5, 10, 15, etc. anniversaries. Those staff members will be recognized at the School Picnic at Belle Prairie on May 1, 2007.
