Religion The next chapter covers the special devotion to Mary.  May is the month to honor our blessed mother.  Next week the children will recite the Hail Mary prayer from memory. Math We will work with addition and subtraction facts to 16 this week. Social Studies The next part of this unit covers symbols for America.  This week we will learn more about our flag and also the Statue of Liberty. Language Arts We will finish the stories in our current book.  The children will choose one story from the book to read and do an assessment with me.  We will do activities with the last two spelling words on the list.  There will be a test on all 30 words next week. Program On Tuesday we will watch the fourth grade perform a play and also listen to the band. Field trip Thursday is our big day!  We have watched the movie, Beauty and the Beast.  After watching the play at the Paramount we will compare story lines.  Remember to dress in layers.  Pray for a sunny day!  Thank you Mrs. Blair for agreeing to be our class chaperone. Show and Tell This will be the final week of Show and Tell as we have many end of the year activities planned. Birthdays Today we celebrate Seth Crocker's birthday!  Happy Birthday to you, Seth! Last week we celebrated Madison Berg and Jay Strack's summer birthdays!  We wish you both wonderful birthdays during our vacation!
