January letter

Article Thursday, January 4, 2007 Dear Parents, It feels good to be back! January has lots of activity, so I hope this letter will be especially helpful. Dates to Remember Jan. 5 (Friday) St. Otto’s visit Jan. 8-12: Artist –in Residence John Acosta* Jan. 10: Early release day Jan. 15: No school Jan 22: No school;, Teacher workshop Jan. 28: Catholic Schools Week begins Curriculum for January Religion: Chapters 7-8 (Jesus is the Son of God,) Chapters 9-10 (The Holy Spirit) Reading: Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit Math: Multiplication concepts, multiplying large numbers Science; Machines and Energy Social Studies: Revolutionary War Steps to Respect: Refusing Bullying Mass Servers for January Jan. 3-5: Nicole Andres, Thomas Bell Jan. 8-12: Ethan Crocker, Katelynn Kanieski Jan. 16-19: John Lukasavitz, Sierra Marshik Jan. 23-26: Heidi Moe, Ian Norwood Jan. 29-Feb2: Justin Pugh, Suzy Smith *Grade 4 students are the focus group for artist in-residence John Acosta. Students will be creating mosaics. I hope to have on line pictures for you to enjoy! Near the end of January 4B will take over serving Wednesday’s Children’s Masses. All students will have an opportunity to serve. Thank you for your gifts and good wished for the Christmas season.
