Religion This week we celebrate two feast days-St. Nicholas and Immaculate Conception. Our text book explains the annunciation and visitation which then goes into the Hail Mary prayer. I test the children on this prayer in May. Math Our chapter test on subtraction facts for 12 will be on Friday. Look for a chapter review sheet to come home for practice. Social Studies Our next unit will be on landforms and bodies of water. The children will learn about the seven continents. This unit will be short and we will finish before the holiday break. Language Arts Our theme this week-keeping healthy. We will read several stories about someone who is sick. We will write about ways to stay healthy. A special video on handwashing will be shown. Christmas program We are counting down the days. Please note Mr. Anderson's request that all have their nice clothes on Monday for dress rehearsal. The children may bring to school and change here before the performance. Holy day We will join the parish for masson Thursday at 9:00 to celebrate the Feast of Immaculate Cnonception. The children have an envelope in their offering box if they wish to bring to mass. Birthdays We will celebrate Benny Thoms-Warzecha's birthday on Friday. Happy Birthday Benny! Students with a birthday in June may choose to celebrate at the 1/2 or pick a day in May. Just let me know! Extra info: We are now in the second trimester.
