Schedule of Events MARY OF LOURDES MIDDLE SCHOOL ~ CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK February 5 – 10, 2006 SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Parishes Catholic Schools Week Kick-off Masses Celebrated 9:00 a.m. MOL Families participate in the Liturgy at St. Mary’s Parish 10:30 a.m. MOL Families participate in the Liturgy at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and Holy Family Parish, Belle Prairie MOL Families participate in weekend Liturgies in our participating parishes. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Community Community Appreciation Day & Hat Day* *9:00 a.m.: Little Falls Mayor, Mr. Brian Mackinac, invited to share a proclamation to honor Catholic Schools Week. *MOLMS Staff makes bars to distribute to area businesses for their support to MOLS and their participation with the Scrip program. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Students Student Appreciation Day & School Spirit Day* (Show your spirit by wearing MOLS apparel!) *Advisors do something special to show appreciation to their students in advisory. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Staff Staff Appreciation Day & Dress up Day* *8:30 a.m.: School Liturgy celebrating Catholic Schools Week *9:35-10:30 a.m. (approx.): Knowledge Bowl Competition in gym – Mixed Teams participating made up of both Staff & Students (in the MOLMS gym) THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Vocations & Nation Vocations & Nation Appreciation Day & Tie Dye Day* *Hallway Display on Vocations *Grade Six having Science Fair throughout the day. Science projects on display in gym. Please stop by to see these projects! FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Parents Parent Appreciation Day & Sports Day* (Dress up in your favorite sports gear for the day!) *Hallway Display: What students like about being in a Catholic school and what they are grateful for. *Middle School Staff VS 8th Grade in Volleyball Games!! Come & watch (1:45 p.m. in the MOLMS gym)! Mary of Lourdes Elementary Schedule SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Parishes Catholic Schools Week Kick-off Mass Celebrated 9:00 AM MOL Families participate in Liturgy at St. Mary’s Parish 10:30 AM MOL Families participate in Liturgy at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and Holy Family Parish, Belle Prairie MOL Families participate in weekend Liturgies in our participating parishes. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6: Character, Compassion, Values: In our Community * Pajama Day * Students are asked to bring either an item for the food shelf or donate gently used clothing for children ages 1-5. * Thank you letters will be written by the children and sent out to the community. TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7: Character, Compassion, Values: In Our Students * Sports Apparel Day * Upper grade students will partner with lower grade students for a fun activity in the classroom. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8: Character, Compassion, Values: In Our Staff * Dress-up day * 8:30 Celebrate Mass together. * Recognition of school staff. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9: Character, Compassion, Values: In Our Vocations & Nation * Beach Day * Valentines will be sent to retired clergy and retired sisters. FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10: Character, Compassion, Values: In Our Parents * MOL School Spirit Day * 2:00 p.m. Parents are invited to attend a program put on by the students.
