Our last class mass is on Wednesday. Thank you for practicing reading parts at home. We will then move on to learning about the events of Holy Week. We will acto out the events of Palm Sunday.
Math
We will continue to add two 2-digit numbers. Some children do well my modeling the numbers to add and others are able to add using "mental math." We will try different approaches so students can find the way that works best for them.
Social Studies
We will wrap up and test this unit on our country's history. On Wednesday papers will come home for review before the test on Thursday.
Guest speakers
On Tuesday we will hear from a lobal delegation who traveled to Guatemala recently.
On Thursday we will hear about the Habitat for Humanity organization.
Language Arts
We will read the last story in the book which has us answering jokes and riddles. We will also write our own riddles. The long e sound will be introduced.
Library visit
On Wednesday we will walk to the Carnegie Library for a tour. The students who filled out card applications should receive their cards. Students who already have cards do not need to bring them as we will not be checking out books.

*Easter Break is April 14-17.
